A Hella Hipster Baby Shower
Last Saturday, we celebrated the impending arrival of Uri and Loren's baby. As expected, everything was so cute and well planned, and the food provided by Sam's Chowder House food truck was delicious. Everything down to the cookies was so darn cute! Faith was a bit grumpy at first, but eventually got into it as soon as we let her play with the water bottles in the cooler- where she promptly started handing out water bottles to everyone haha. We all tried to dress in hipster attire, but I focused more on what Irwin and Faith should wear, and didn't even realize that they were matching. And it literally melted my heart. As if Faith needed more reason to look like her Dada, this was the icing on the cake. Her faux leather pants got the most attention, and it was honestly the article of clothing I was most excited for her to wear. I ordered it from Etsy from this wonderful shop.
It was so great seeing Uri too, especially since I don't get to see her as often as I'd like. She's such a tiny pregnant lady, sometimes she almost doesn't look pregnant! Aside from their registry gifts, I gave her a "postpartum preparedness kit" and hoped I wouldn't scare her too much! But these were all ideas I got from wonderful mama friends who each contributed these ideas to me when I became a new mom, and I found them infinitely helpful.
Eventually our little monster was starting to get grumpy which is her cue for "I need to nap", so we left before she could have a full on tantrum. We definitely cannot wait to meet Faith's future BFF, and so excited to see Uri and Loren become the awesome parents I know they will be.
